Report: CEO says Norilsk Nickel shifts focus to Russia

MOSCOW, Jan 23 (PRIME) -- Metal giant Norilsk Nickel has abandoned its plans to enter other markets amid sanctions and been forced to adjust the investment policy with an even greater emphasis on Russia, CEO Vladimir Potanin told RBC on Monday.

“We had expansion plans for some of our businesses in other markets. And vice versa, we participated in various start-ups in other countries hoping to bring them to Russia in order to strengthen our existing businesses here. Such opportunities are almost completely gone now,” he said.
